We brought fantasy to the runway ✨🧚

Hey Reader,

This past weekend was pretty unforgettable. I spent it with Whimsy Forge members as we debuted a fantasy runway show collection we’ve been creating together. It was such a blast to see the pieces come alive under the lights.

But the runway was just part of it — we also squeezed in a private ninja training at an elite gym, stayed in a beautiful Airbnb, and even took a private aerial class. It was one of those weekends packed with adventure, creating, and bonding with other creatives.

Here’s a little peek:

Now that the show is wrapped, I’ve already jumped into my next project: an epic dragon gown for The Dragon Gauntlet coming up in just a couple weeks. Right now it’s a pile of sketches and scraps, but here’s where it’s starting:

When I’ve got a big project like this, I like to have an audiobook running in the background. My current “read” is Anathema by Keri Lake. It’s my first gothic dark fantasy and I’m loving it.

With so much crafting and sewing ahead, it’s harder to keep up with a full fitness routine. So I’ve been leaning on little movements that help my body feel good even in the middle of studio chaos:

  • A quick walk around the block
  • Sitting in a deep squat while I work at my desk
  • Hanging from a pull-up bar (or even the edge of a door frame) — total reset

Tiny things, but they make a big difference.

After this weekend, I kept thinking about how powerful it is to create alongside others. We poured so many hours into prep, fittings, and late-night sewing — but what I’ll remember most is how full my soul felt at the end of it. Creating art, moving my body, and laughing through the “hard” things has a way of pulling me back to my most authentic self.

Hope you find a little time this week to create, move, and play too.
